Kieron Pollard Chastised For Sending Out Abdullah Shafiq

Pollard accepted the sentence after pleading guilty to the offence.

Kieron Pollard of the Multan Sultans was punished for a level 1 violation of the HBL PSL Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Workers during his team’s match against the Lahore Qalandars on Saturday at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Pollard breached Article 2.5, which states that “using language, acts, or gestures that denigrate or could cause an angry reaction from a batter following his/her ejection during a match” is prohibited.

The event occurred in the 13th over of the first innings, when Pollard signaled towards the pavilion after taking Abdullah Shafique’s catch off his own bowling.

Pollard accepted the sentence proposed by match referee Muhammad Javed Malik after pleading guilty to the offence. On-field umpires Martin Saggers and Faisal Afridi, third umpire Ahsan Raza, and fourth umpire Shozab Raza all levelled the charge.
