Shah Rukh Khan has officially made a triumphant comeback! Pathaan, starring the superstar, made box office history on Tuesday by becoming the first Hindi film to gross more over Rs 1,000 crore in the first week of release, according to Yash Raj Films (YRF).
Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham’s Pathaan is now breaking records after being the first Hindi movie to gross over Rs. 1000 crores domestically and the quickest Indian film to do so for the Hindi language.
Although Pathaan’s performance in the country was always expected to be strong, the record-breaking box office numbers have given the trade great reason for hope over the future of Bollywood films in India. In the post-pandemic age, when the Hindi film industry is not performing to its full potential, Pathaan has debunked all misconceptions and surpassed KGF: Chapter 2 to become both the highest Hindi origin film in India and the most watched Hindi version movie ever.
Given that hardly all films have the same effect as Pathaan, we may not witness heroism like that in that film very often. Pathaan obviously demonstrates mega stardom. The timing and content are both perfect. Pathaan’s success is enhanced by the fact that it is a non-sequel film that was not released on a holiday and had an actor in his late 50s who carried the film on his muscular shoulders.
Pathaan has the highest single-language gross of any other Indian film. This is a significant achievement because it demonstrates Shah Rukh Khan’s and his films’ continued popularity.
